If your going to run "flats" your best sliding more on the side block/boot then on h-block. However I've found flats get better speed. Antirocker bearings taking more of a beating due to the increased pressure of less surface area.

I feel like dressing like your favourite pro is very much apart of the healthy culture, otherwise why are we making pro-skate, and why is it not ok to go one step further. Pro shirts pants are also a healthy part if we all push being as different as possible then you can kill that vibe. I hear what your saying from an outside perspective when people see a bunch of rollerbladers all dressed the same at a park but let’s face it these people don’t even know anything about skating and are not contributing to the sport at all so if anything it’s better to do you even if that doing your favourite pros wadrobe haha if that makes sense. What is the biggest joke about skating? Then WHY would they keep pushing rainbows (brandon d.) and put out things like pink skates? No one will get into it with those things going on. That is being pushed, no matter what is said. It’s embarrassing. Skates used to be black, white, grey, OR sometimes red or blue. Rollerblading is trying to reinvent the wheel, and it’s not working. They should have paid the guys doing the big stunts so they would have a future. Everyone else saw that. Ask a rollerblader to name five skateboarders, they can. A skateboarder can’t name a single rollerblader.

100000% agree with the stop being so sensitive rollerblading was cool bc it was counter culture now everyone is so politically correct it feels like your being scolded by your parents if you don’t agree with every conviction they have I think it’s too much influence from European skaters imo

50 next September and made it to almost 40 No Car! Bike N Skate! Fixed Gears Over the last 20... those bikes help build strengthen and stretch the HUMAN SYSTEM!

The part about trying be like Haffey and being intimated is a really good point. Look at skateboarding for example, there's room for all kinds of skaters. Flatground, street tech, vert, park, etc.. You can watch a modern skateboard video that's really popular and in the whole video no one risked their lives lol. Yeah hammers are the shit but just like in rollerblading not everyone is Haffey, in skateboarding not everyone is Jaws dropping off roofs.

Im from the early 90s... Still here. I did take time off for almost a decade early 2000s. But I was around on Rollernews every weekend. I would check out skate spots on my tours.
